You are a skilled front-end developer who can transform designs into perfect front-end code. You can transform beautiful and challenging designs with a lot of custom code and finding the most perfect solution to a technical problem gives you energy. You like to extensively talk with colleagues about web and design subjects and are always in for drink and boardgame night. Your opinions and expertise in forming and picking the right tools and stack matters, you help to elevate Strakzat to the highest level!

You find it challenging and fun to be part of a small Rotterdam team and make an impact in both our team and that of the customer. You enjoy working closely with other developers, product owners, project managers and designers. What we expect

Your profile

You have 5+ years of demonstrable experience with front-end.

You have a good eye for design and have the skills to translate responsive designs into pixel-perfect functional components and CSS.

You have the stamina and are stress resistant enough to sprint in an agile process.

You can show your experience with React (and/or other front-end frameworks) and can style components with SCSS (BEM/CSS modules).

You have experience with a (headless) CMS like Sanity and Craft.

You are not phased by integrating an (external) API.

You think carefully about the technical requirements of a project, can advise our team and client and are able to defend your choices in Dutch and English.

You have the dexterity to configure projects from scratch and experience integrating a design library and associated frameworks.

Your role

Developing websites and web applications

Introduce and setup new tools and stacks

Collaborate with the design team and thinking along on creative and feasible solutions

Testing code and code reviewing colleagues code

Communicate and process feedback from clients

Inspiring peers/clients/third parties by publishing articles & promotions

Educating your colleagues when you see an opportunity for growth (e.g. through one of our lunch lectures)

Working in a small and creative team helps you grow as an individual and as a developer. Every project and client is different, so you are always experimenting with new tools and methods to improve your work.
